Anthony L. Marchetti, Jr.

Anthony L. Marchetti, Jr. practices in the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Anthony’s practice covers a wide range of complex litigation and appellate matters including Consumer Fraud, Corporate Litigation, including shareholders’ and creditor rights, Employment Litigation, Intellectual Property, Immigration Law and Professional Negligence. Anthony also has developed a personal injury practice limited to seriously injured persons.

Anthony's efforts as a pro bono representative of a September 11th World Trade Center victim's family for the Trial Lawyer's Care "lead case" project has been profiled by various media, including a front page feature in the Los Angeles Times. Anthony's case was one of the first twelve to be heard by Special Master Feinberg and helped pave the way to recovery for the thousands of families who presented claims to the Victims Compensation Fund.

Anthony graduated from the Temple University School of Law in 1994, and began working for Hunt and Scaramella P.C. in 1995. That Firm merged with Cureton Clark, P.C. in 2000. Anthony Earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management, with a Minor in Labor and Industrial Relations, from the Pennsylvania State University in 1991. During College and Law School, Anthony worked as an Organizer for Teamsters Local #331 in Pleasantville, New Jersey.

Anthony has been admitted to practice in federal and state trial and appellate courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.


Recent Successes

  • In re: FXG Employment practices Litigation, MDL-1700
    • In conjunction with the Firm's membership on the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee of this Multi-District employee misclassification case, Anthony has travelled nationwide taking and defending fact and expert depositions, and has been active in both class certification and discovery motion practice.
       
  • Coverall, NA v. Pineda, Docket No. 1:05-cv-11867-MLW
    • Anthony and Mr. Cureton care Plaintiffs’ co-counsel in a nationwide class action concerning fraud, unfair trade practices, and worker misclassification in the cleaning industry.
       
  • Aaron Grider, et al v. Velocity Express
    •  Anthony and Mr. Cureton are Plaintiffs’ co-counsel in a nationwide class action asserting, among other things, claims for employee misclassification of delivery truck divers, FLSA and other matters.
       
  • Jonessee v. Burlington Mitsubishi, Docket No. a-002242-05
    • As counsel for the Plaintiff in a Consumer Fraud claim against a car dealer, Anthony successfully appealed the trial judge's decision dismissing the case and successfully avoided an arbitration agreement the Plaintiff had signed with the Division of Consumer Affairs.
       
  • Richards v. Avanti Powerboats, Docket No. A-002094-05
    • As counsel for the Plaintiff in a consumer Fraud claim against a boat dealer, Anthony convinced the Appellate Division to uphold the trial court's decision in favor of his client.

Anthony's attention to detail and case preparation skills have resulted in settlements totaling well over seven figures for his personal injury clients in the past year.
